Cleopatra: On the Prowl
Her turquoise eye shadow and black feline- like eyeliner skating across her sultry eyes that pierce the hearts of powerful men of the Roman Empire. She walks gracefully toward her pray intimidating her enemies. With jewels dripping from head to toe and a silk dress caressing her curvaceous body. Cleopatra, who had a calm demeanor can leap at you gracefully at any moment. Her cool attitude and beautiful appearance along with her strong conviction made her one of the first powerful woman figures of the world. She ruled Ancient Egypt, was the Godess of Isis and embodied cat like traits.
Her wide light eyes low in the grass watching her prey. Taking slow, silent and lurking steps like a shadow. The cat is serene and contemplating of how she will attack. She pounces in one agile moment and lands on all four feet with a bird propped elegantly in her mouth. She lays on the cold green grass with her enticing eyes, eating her dinner like a champion. She knows she has done well and licks her soft silky fur until she is rightfully clean. She perches herself on a ledge high above the ground and watches her surroundings placidly and wisely. She is the godess of seduction and power.
The myth of Cleopatra that is displayed in society today is very similar to the personality of a cat. They both have that graceful way about them. They are charming and know how to manipulate others to love them and receive their affection. But at the same time they can scare their enemies by snapping at them viciously with a calm and cool demeanor. They are clever creatures with strong conviction that allows them to know their place in the world and take what they rightfully think is theirs. Pablo Neruda, a famous Chilean poet, wrote a poem called "Cat's Dream" that describes a cat but indistinguishably connects with the mannerisms Cleopatra had that makes it seem that Neruda is personally describing her powerful feline appearance in Ancient Egypt.
